Vesicoureteral reflux (VUR) is a condition in which urine flows backward from the bladder toward the ureters and kidneys. It is commonly identified in children and may be associated with recurrent urinary tract infections (UTIs). Early evaluation can help identify children who may need monitoring or treatment to reduce the risk of kidney complications.
Comprehensive VUR & Recurrent UTI Evaluation
This package is designed to support a structured assessment of recurrent UTI in children, suspected VUR, urinary symptoms, and related kidney or bladder concerns. Evaluation may include clinical assessment, urine testing, kidney and bladder imaging, and other investigations recommended by the urologist based on the child's symptoms and medical history.
Individualized Treatment Planning
Treatment depends on the child's age, symptoms, infection history, VUR grade, and kidney findings. Management may include observation, preventive measures, treatment of UTIs, medications when appropriate, or surgical options for selected cases.
