Hydronephrosis & UPJ Obstruction Treatment Package
Hydronephrosis occurs when urine cannot drain normally from the kidney, causing the kidney to become swollen. One common cause is ureteropelvic junction (UPJ) obstruction, where the connection between the kidney and ureter becomes narrowed or blocked. If left untreated, persistent obstruction may affect kidney function.
Our Hydronephrosis and UPJ obstruction treatment package is designed to support timely evaluation, accurate diagnosis, and appropriate treatment planning. Depending on the severity and underlying cause, your urologist may recommend observation, medication for associated symptoms, minimally invasive procedures, or surgery such as pyeloplasty for UPJ obstruction.
Evaluation may include a clinical assessment, urine tests, blood tests, ultrasound, CT imaging, or other investigations when required. Treatment is individualized according to age, symptoms, kidney function, and the degree of obstruction.
