Cardiac Stress / TMT Test for Heart Health
The Cardiac Stress Test, also known as a Treadmill Test (TMT) or exercise stress test, helps evaluate how the heart responds when the body is physically active. During the test, you walk on a treadmill while healthcare professionals monitor your heart rate, heart rhythm, blood pressure and ECG changes.
Who May Need a TMT?
A TMT test may be recommended when a doctor needs to assess symptoms such as chest discomfort, breathlessness, reduced exercise tolerance or suspected heart-related problems. It can also provide useful information about exercise capacity and the heart's response to increased workload.
